Yep I did . . I said yes!!
For those of you that need an update, see my post below dated June 23, 2012
The past two weeks have been very busy for our town.
The Waldo Canyon Fire started the day of my last post and crept closer, then a third of our town was evacuated and we were put on pre-evacuation notice.
Here is a view from our house on June 26, 2012.
The fire was approximately 3 miles away at this point.
The fire is now 98% contained and we are basically out of danger!
THANK YOU FIRE FIGHTERS AND ALL THOSE WORKING TO KEEP US SAFE!!
But now, back to the "She Said Yes"; I spoke with the owner last night of the Fire-ball camper. WOW how ironic that the manufacturer name has kind of been our theme for the past 2 weeks. . odd don't you think? Anyway, during all the real fire activity, she was unable to access her emails, and when she finally did last night, she discovered a LOT of emails making inquires. We had discussed it enough, that she gave me first right and I agreed to purchase the precious camper. So, we will meet again, on Wednesday to complete the deal. Yepee !!! I'm so excited I can't wait to get in there and clean her out and make her mine, or ours, since my daughter will be using her too!
Now for a name ??
On a vintage find note, here are a few Pyrex items I picked up recently . . .
A beautiful purple . . . Pyrex #326 4.0 l
Love the texture :)
Or this Pyrex # 443 2.5 l
And last but not least, a non-Pyrex
#443 - simply marked Ovenproof & Dishwasher Safe
Interestingly, this one was given to me by a friend who actually went diving into a dumpster for it. Don't think badly of him, he saw the trash can it was tossed from and it actually landed in the dumpster unbroken, so he retreived it for me!
Is that a friend or what? Thanks Joe
So more camper pictures will be coming soon, but for now, remember to tell then ones you care about that you do; be prepared, as I've learned from this fire, there's no time, when time is the only thing you wish you had!
Happy Monday and see you next time,
Sharon
